California’s Bar Exam Results Have Been Released

California’s bar exam results have been released.  The pass rate on California’s July 2019 bar exam increased to 50.1%, rebounding from a historic low of 40.7 % last year

Here is the general statistics.

California ABA:  first time taker:  71%, repeat rate:  36%
Out of State ABA:  first time taker:  73%; repeat rate:  29%
CA Accredited, not ABA:  first time taker:  26%, repeat rate: 14%
Unaccredited, fixed facility:  first time taker:  27%, repeat rate: 9%
Unaccredited, correspondence:  first time taker: 20%; repeat rate: 13%
Unaccredited distance learning:  first time taker:  29%, repeat rate:  12%
Others:   first time taker:  38%, repeat rate:  22%

All Applicants:  first time takers:  64%,  repeat takers:  26%
