The July 2016 Bar Exam: California’s Bar Exam Results Have Been Released

California’s bar exam results have been released.  The first time taker rate was 56% and the repeat pass rate was 17%.  Overall the pass rate was 43%.  67% of the bar applicants were first time takers and 33% of bar applicants were repeat takers.  Here are the general statistics.

California ABA:  first time taker:  62%, repeat rate:  23%
Out of State ABA:  first time taker:  60%; repeat rate:  20%
CA Accredited, not ABA:  first time taker:  21%, repeat rate: 9%
Unaccredited, fixed facility:  first time taker:  32%, repeat rate: 5%
Unaccredited, correspondence:  first time taker:  13%; repeat rate: 7%
Unaccredited distance learning:  first time taker:  26%, repeat rate:  9%
