The July 2016 Bar Exam: The UBE Colorado Pass Rate and the Low Repeat Taker Rate

Colorado has released its bar exam statistics for July 2016.  The first time taker pass rate was good, except for schools outside the state of Colorado – those applicants passed at a 68% pass rate. However, the pass rate for repeat takers were very low.  The overall repeat taker rate for all repeat takers was a dismal 25%.

Here are the statistics:

University of Colorado:  first time pass rate:  82% pass rate;  for repeat takers:  67%
University of Denver:  first time pass rate:  84% pass rate; for repeat takers:  19%
National Schools:  first time pass rate:  96% pass rate; for repeat takers : 33%
Other Schools:  first time pass rate:  68%; for repeat takers:  24%
Total:  first time pass rate; 78%; for repeat takers:  25%

It is clear from the data that repeat bar takers fail at a rate of 75% every time they take the bar exam.   All repeat takers need help passing the Colorado and UBE bar exam.
