California’s Bar Exam Results Have Been Released


California’s bar exam results have been released.  The first time taker rate was 62% and the repeat pass rate was 28%.  Overall the pass rate was 49%.  62% of the bar applicants were first time takers and 38% of bar applicants were repeat takers.  Here are the general statistics.

California ABA:  first time taker:  70%, repeat rate:  37%
Out of State ABA:  first time taker:  67%; repeat rate:  28%
CA Accredited, not ABA:  first time taker:  33%, repeat rate: 19%
Unaccredited, fixed facility:  first time taker:  29%, repeat rate: 14%
Unaccredited, correspondence:  first time taker:  25%; repeat rate: 22%
Unaccredited distance learning:  first time taker:  25%, repeat rate:  17%
