Missouri’s Bar Exam Results and Statistics for the UBE

The Missouri bar exam results for July 2015 were released on Tuesday, September 15th.  An examination of the statistics prove to be very interesting.

First, Missouri is a UBE state, one of 15 states (NY will be #16 in July 2016, Iowa will be #17 in February 2016)).

The overall pass rate for Missouri was 84%.  The first time taker pass rate was 86.7%, the second time taker pass rate was 60% and the third time plus pass rate was 41.9%.

But look at the way the average MBE scores go down for repeat takers.  The average MBE scores overall were 142.5.  For first time takers it was 143.8, for second time takers it was 130.5 and for the third time and beyond, it was 124.1.

Similarly, let’s look at the essay scores.  The overall average essay score was 142.6.  For first time takers, it was 143.8 (identical to the MBE scores), for second time takers, the essay average was 130.2, and the third time takers and beyond, the essay average was 125.7.

It is clear to see that the repeat takers, across the board, have much lower average scores.  For repeat takers, those average scores must change for you to have a chance at passing the bar exam. A private one-on-one tutoring company, like the MBE Testing Institute, can help you.

The highest UBE Total Score 355.0; the lowest UBE total score was 211.0

The highest MBE score was 182.6; the lowest MBE score was 98.7

The highest essay scaled was 180.4; the lowest Essay scaled was 90.6

The MBE Testing Institute knows that taking the bar exam as a repeat taker can be an isolating experience. The MBE Testing Institute helps the student keep motivated and confident through interaction with an MBE Testing Institute’s bar tutor.
