The Texas Bar Exam Results Are Now Out and the Statistics

The Texas Bar Exam results for February 2015 have been released. The name of the applicants who passed are listed on the Texas website.
Congratulations to those who have passed.
The overall pass rate was 60.47.  The first time taker pass rate was 69%, the repeat pass rate was 49.8%
For the law schools:
Baylor:  first time pass rate:  79.3%, repeat pass rate: 71.4%
St, Marys: first time pass rate:  57.5%, repeat pass rate: 58.7%
South Texas: first time pass rate:  69.2%, repeat pass rate: 57.7%
SMU: first time pass rate:  82%, repeat pass rate: 55%
TSU: first time pass rate:  63.6%, repeat pass rate: 28%
Houston: first time pass rate:  56%, repeat pass rate: 59%
Texas: first time pass rate:  82%, repeat pass rate: 60%
Texas Tech: first time pass rate:  67%, repeat pass rate: 72%
Texas A&M: first time pass rate:  79.6%, repeat pass rate: 71%
Subtotal:  First time pass rate: 70.4%; repeat pass rate:  57%
 Another interesting statistic:
For Texas law Schools:  first time pass rate:  70.4%, repeat taker pass rate:  57%
For out of state law schools:  first time pass rate:  53%, repeat taker pass rate: 41%
It definitely pays to go to a Texas law school if you want to practice law there.
