Michigan has not yet released its July 2022 bar exam results but should be releasing its bar exam results any day now. Michigan has administered its last state bar exam last July 2022

Effective February 2023, Pennsylvania will administer the Uniform Bar Exam (UBE). Pennsylvania’s passing scores will be a high 268.

There will be a lot of repeat students taking the UBE in February 2023. We have been talking to many repeat takers who must take the UBE in Michigan in February and must face a brand new exam. Yesterday, we published a list of all the states repeat taker pass rate.   Taken as a whole, the repeat taker pass rate was shockingly low. Only two states were above the 40% mark, Kentucky and New Mexico.

Most of the other states had between a 20% -29% pass rate for repeat takers

Other states’ pass rate for repeat takers were devasting. 

The states that only had a 0% to 19% pass rate for repeat takers

Kansas had only 8% of repeat takers passing. Alabama had only 9% of repeat takers passing.  Arizona had only 12% of repeat takers passing, Vermont 0%, Utah 15%, Wyoming 14%. Maryland 19%, Missouri 13%, West Virginia 18%

The states that had only a 20%-29% pass rate for repeat takers:

Texas Bar Exam Statistics Released, Repeat Takers Low Pass Rate Show the Need for the UBE Bar Exam Review International's UBE Tutorials and the Ultimate UBE Books; TSU Was The Lowest in the State

 

The Texas bar exam statistics have been released. The repeat taker rate was extremely low. For all of the Texas schools, the repeat taker pass rate was 29% and the overall pass rate for repeat takers was 23%. That means that approximately 77% of the repeat takers failed the Texas bar exam. This is line with other UBE states and the low pass rate for repeat takers.

Let’s look at these statistics for repeat takers for the Texas law schools:

Baylor:  42%

SMU: 25%

STCL Houston: 39%

St. Mary’s:   36%

Texas A&M:  44%

Texas Tech:  10%

TSU:  20%

U of Houston: 42%

U of North Texas: 15%

U of Texas:  38%

It should be noted that TSU had the worst pass rate for first time takers at 51% and only a 19.5% pass rate for repeat takers.  The number of repeat takers was the most out of any Texas law school sitting for the Texas bar exam at 87 applicants – with 70 of those applicants failing the bar exam. The overall pass rate for TSU was a shockingly low 36%. Unfortunately, these numbers have become too common for TSU and its students.  When is TSU going to get UBE help for their students?

The New York bar exam results for July 2022 have been released.

Repeat takers accounted for 17% of all candidates who sat for the bar exam.  35% of all candidates were foreign educated.

The repeat-takers pass rate was 23%.  The foreign educated candidates had a passing rate of 44%.
