Repeat Takers Cannot Repeat Their Rinse and Repeat Mistakes

We are always amazed that students who fail the bar exam tell us that they are just going to retake their commercial bar exam course again. Obviously, it did not help you pass the first time, why would you think that it will help you pass the next time or the third time or the fourth time?

Students must get out of the “rinse, repeat” mindset that made them fail the first time. Students cannot waste another bar cycle as they stand in place, hoping that this time it will work for them.

Don’t try the same method that allowed you to be unsuccessful on your previous attempt. Do not repeat the same class, study plan or approach you used the last time. One size does not fit all. Say to yourself, “I will be a lawyer, so I must change my approach.”

We ask our students, “what will happen if you don’t pass the bar exam this time?” “Where will you be in 1 year if you don’t pass the bar exam?” Do you really what to be in the same situation a year from now? Your job, your money, your home, your family will be in deep jeopardy if you waste another bar cycle doing the same rinse and repeat program.
