When you look at the bar exam results for New York and California, the pass rate statistics of foreign educated lawyers are very low.  Many foreign educated lawyers never pass the bar, despite taking the bar exam over and over again.

How should a person prepare for the New York or California bar exam when English is their second language?

·         Write, write and write some more. An applicant needs to learn to write on the New York or the California bar subjects to both understand the law and to develop a writing structure.

The July 2016 Bar Exam: Get The MBE & UBE Testing Institute’s Help for Your Low MBE Scores

The mean scaled score on the February administration of the MBE fell to 135, down 1.2 points from the previous year and the lowest average score on a February administration of the test since 1983. That is a 33 year low for the MBE.  The July 2015 results were also down 1.6 points from the previous year, to 139.9, its lowest point since 1988.

The NCBE believes the downward trend is likely to continue for at least a couple more years.

California’s Bar Exam Results Came Out on Friday

California  released their February 2016 bar exam results on Friday at 6 pm for private look up.

Arizona’s Pass Rate Shows that You Need a MBE & UBE Testing Institute UBE Bar ExamTutor

With the release of Arizona’s bar exam results, all of the UBE states have come out.  The pass rate for the states that use the UBE have been astonishingly low.  We have seen most UBE states in the 60 – 65% and lower range.  Arizona’s overall pass rate was 49%.  Washington’s pass rate was 58.5%, North Dakota was 47%, Vermont was 61.3%,   Iowa was 68%, New Mexico, 69%, Alabama’s pass rate was 42%.  The UBE is not as easy as we might think it is. With these low overall pass rates, imagine what the repeat taker pass rate was – extremely low.

The July 2016 Bar Exam: Why Do Law Students Fail the Bar Exam? How I Can Pass with the MBE & UBE Testing Institute

Most law students fail the bar exam for three major reasons:

1.      They revert back to bad writing habits developed in law school.

Under the pressures of the bar exam, many students revert back to bad habits.  These bad habits allowed them to graduate from law school, but will be the kiss of death on the bar.  Some of the bad habits include, not organizing your answer, no line by line analysis and not answering the call of the question.
